Prayers for beatification and canonization

The prayers published on MyHolyHero for every holy hero, grouped honestly by the stage of each cause.

A cause for beatification moves forward with the prayer of the faithful. Below are the prayers published on MyHolyHero for each hero: first the prayers of the causes that are open, then prayers for private devotion for witnesses of faith who have no open cause, and finally the people for whom we offer only a generic prayer of intercession because no specific prayer has been found.

All of these prayers are for private use. A prayer card approved for private devotion does not anticipate the judgement of the Church, and no public cult is given before beatification. If you believe you have received a grace through someone's intercession, report it to the postulation of their cause.

Prayers for open causes

Prayers from the prayer cards of causes for beatification or canonization, for private devotion.

Frequently asked questions

Can I pray for someone's beatification?

Yes. Praying privately for the beatification or canonization of a Servant of God, a Venerable or a Blessed is one of the most important ways to support a cause.

What should I do if I receive a grace?

Write down what happened, with dates and, for a healing, medical documentation, and send it to the postulation of the cause. The Church examines possible miracles only on the basis of such evidence.

Why are some prayers marked “private devotion”?

Until the Church beatifies someone, they may not receive public cult. Prayers for people with no open cause, and prayers for causes still under study, are therefore for personal use only.
